This tutorial was written by me on 23 October 2010. Any similarity to other tutorials is not intentional.

Supplies:

Tube of Choice. I am using the awesome art of Anna Marine. If you want to use the same image you MUST purchase the tube and license from CILM .

I used Template 11 by Tamie at Addictive pleasures. You can download it HERE

I used an awesome scrapkit by Artmama which you can purchase HERE

Filters - Xero Radiance, Lokas 3d shadow, Eye Candy Gradient Glow.

Mask - Becky Mask 022. I have supplied Becky's mask HERE. Becky's site no longer operates, but she gave permission to share her masks before she took the site down.

Font of choice, I used Good Vibrations ROB

Let's start!

Open the template. You can shift D to duplicate it and close the original. I just use the original but save it as something else, I can still use the template again that way! Make sure you check the resolution and change it to 72 pixels per inch. Many templates are set higher than that. This resolution is required by most PTU artists.

Delete the credit layer, and increase canvas size to 700 x 700.

I always start at the bottom with templates & work my way up! Select the squares layer, selections, select all, selections float, selections, defloat.

TIP - I've written a script to float/defloat as I use it alot! From here on in I'll just say float/defloat, ok? lol

Ok, back to business! Copy and paste paper of choice as a new layer. I used paper 12. Selections, invert, delete, select none. Delete original squares layer.

On your square frames layer, change the colour to suit your tube - Adjust, Hue and Saturation, colourize. Drop shadow. Adjust, add/remove noise, uniform, 100, monochrome ticked, drop shadow.

Circle layer, float/defloat. Layer, new raster layer. Choose two colours to compliment your tube, gradient with angle 30 repeats 1, floodfill. Select none and delete the original circle layer.

Float/defloat the half circle layer & copy and paste a paper as a new layer. I used paper 5. Selections, invert, delete, select none, and delete the original half circle layer.

Pink strip - Float/defloat, layers, new raster layer. Fill with the gradient you used earlier. Select none, and delete the original pink strip layer.

Circle frame - Float/defloat, selections, modify, smooth, smoothing amount and corner amount both at 25 & tick both boxes. This smoothes out any lumps in the circle! Copy and paste a light paper as a new layer, I used 14. Selections, invert delete, select none & delete the original layer. Adjust, add/remove noise, same settings as before.

Black circle - Float/defloat, copy and paste paper of choice as a new layer, selections invert delete, select none & delete the original layer.

Small circle frame - Float/defloat, selections, modify, smooth, smoothing amount and corner amount both at 25 & tick both boxes. Copy and paste a light paper as a new layer, I used 14. Selections, invert delete, select none & delete the original layer. Adjust, add/remove noise, same settings as before.

Wordart layer - Adjust, Hue and Saturation, colourize. Drop shadow.

Text layer - change the blend mode to Luminance Legacy.

Heart layer - Adjust, Hue and Saturation, colourize. Adjust, add/remove noise, uniform, 100, monochrome ticked, drop shadow.

Copy and paste your tube and place under the thin stips with the text. Effects, Xero Radiance with these settings:

TAG IMAGE HERE

Effects, Lokas 3d shadow:

Go down to your circle layer, should be Raster 1, float/defloat, selections modify contract by 4, selections invert & erase bits of the tube which hang outside the circle.

Now you are ready to personalize your tag by adding different elements. This is what I did.

Copy and paste the butterfly (embellie 40), re-size 60%, image mirror and drop shadow.

Copy and paste embellie 19, re-size 65% and place above tube layer.

Copy and paste embellie 28, the hearts and paste above the big glittered frame layer. You might need to move it a little. Drop shadow.

Copy and paste embellie 31, the doodle & place it above your white background layer.

Copy and paste embellie 30 over the small right hand circle, drop shadow.

Create a new raster above your while background. Select all, copy and paste a paper of choice into selection, select none. Do your mask, merge group.

Add your name, effects grandient glow. Choose a colour to suit your tag, or white. Drop shadow.

Close your background layer and crop merged opaque. Re-size to your liking, mine is 560 x 585.

Add your artist's credits and you're finished!!
