This tutorial was written by me on 3 January 2011. Any similarity to other tutorials is not intentional.

Supplies:

Tube and close up of Choice. I am using the art of José Cano. If you want to use the same tube you must purchase a license and the tube at MPT

Scrapkit - I used an fantastic kit called From the Heart by Stacey's Designs, thank you Stacey! You can purchase this kit at Scraps with Attitude HERE

Template - I used template 41 by Mirella, which you can download HERE

Mask - Becky mask 38. Becky's site is no longer working, but she gave permission to share her masks before she took the site down. You can get the mask HERE.

Filters - Xero Radiance, Eye Candy 4000 gradient glow

Font of choice, I used Shirley Script JF.

Let's start!

Open the template in psp, shift D to duplicate it and close the original. Delete the top credit layer and the heart and oval line layers. Image re-size, and change the resolution to 72, keeping the size at 100%. Make sure you check the re-size all layers box. The reason we change the resolution is that most PTU artists actually state in their TOU that tags can't be bigger than 72dpi.

I like to have plenty of room to work with, so I increased the canvas size to 845 x 571.

Create a new raster layer above your background layer. Selections, select all, copy and paste paper 1 into selection, select none. Load your mask, merge group.

On the oval layer, selections, select all, float, defloat, copy and paste paper 6 as a new layer. Selections, invert, delete, select none. Delete the original oval layer.

On the bottom rectangle layer, selections, select all, float, defloat, new raster layer, fill with a gradient to suit your tube, select none. Delete the original bottom rectangle layer.

On the bottom rectangle border layer, adjust, add/remove noise, uniform, 85%, monochrome checked.

On the top rectangle layer, selections, select all, float, defloat, new raster layer, fill with the same gradient you used on the bottom rectangle but tick the invert box. Delete the original top rectangle layer.

On the top rectangle border layer, selections, select all, float, defloat, new raster layer, fill with a colour to suit your tag. Select none & delete the original layer.

On the heart layer, selections, select all, float, defloat, new raster layer, fill with a colour or gradient to suit your tag. Copy and paste your close up, delete. Select none & delete the original layer. Duplicate the tube. On the copy, change the blend mode to Luminance. On the copy, adjust, blur, gaussian blur 3. Change the blend mode to soft light.

On the heart border layer, adjust, add/remove noise, uniform, 85%, monochrome checked.

On the Love layer, selections, select all, float, defloat, selections modify expand by 2. Layers, new raster layer, fill with a colour from your tube. Select none & delete the original love layer.

Copy and paste your tube. Effects Xero Radiance with these settings:

Strangeness 51, Charm and Truth 63, Beauty 132.

I applied the filter twice. The bottom of my tube was a straight line, so I feathered it. Using your selection tool, draw a thin rectangle around the part you want to feather like this:

Selections, modify, feather 15. Then just press the delete key a couple of times to smooth it out.

Copy and paste the dove, re-size 20% & place at the top of the frame. Drop shadow.

Copy and paste corner 1, re-size 85%. See sample tag for placement. Drop Shadow.

Copy and paste flower clip, re-size 25%, rotate left 90. Place on the left, drop shadow.

Copy and paste the leaves, re-size 50% and drop shadow. Place above the mask layer. Duplicate, image mirror.

Copy and paste another flower, re-size & place on the right of the tag, above the dotted line layers.

Add some sparkles!!!

Add your name and give it a glow using EC 4000, gradient glow. Add your artist's copyright & you're finished!
