This tutorial was written by me on 15 August 2010. Any similarity to other tutorials is not intentional.

Supplies:

Tube and close up of choice. I used the awesome art of Jose Cano. If you want to use the same art you must purchase a license from MPT.

Scrapkit : Sunny Dayz by Kittz Kreations, which you can get HERE

Filters : Fantastic Machines

Font : I used WhoaNellyNF

Let's start!

Open a new canvas 600 x 250. Flood fill your canvas with a gradient to match your tube. Effects, Fantastic Machines, Paint Engine, with these settings:

Copy and paste Brushed Frame and position it something like this:

Copy and paste Frame and angle it, see my tag for placement. You may need to re-size the frame. Click inside your frame, selections, modify expand by 5, copy & paste a paper, selections, invert delete. Place your paper layer under the frame layer. Drop shadow the frame layer. Merge frame to paper, duplicate, image flip & mirror & place in the other corner of the tag.

Copy your close up, place on the left side of the tag. Lower opacity to 36.

Copy your tube, place on the right side. Duplicate. On the duplicate, adjust blur, gaussian blur, 4 then change the blend mode to screen. Drop shadow.

Merge visible, effects, Xenofex 2, Burnt Edges:

I copied the heart from the kit & placed it over the heart in the frame.

Copy merged, we'll make the Avatar now. Open a new canvas 150 x 150. Paste the merged image, re-size 80%, image mirror. Place where it looks best & crop your tag. Do the Burnt Edges effect again.

Add your name and copyright to both tag and Av, and you're finished!

Thank you for trying my tutorial!!

Here is another sample created by my good friend Beverly, thank you so much!
